I don't want to disparage any one willing to take a friend or relatives photographs for free. When you want family pictures taken or wedding photographs taken and you look at what most professional photographers charge in Utah county you might think it's a bargin to have your family or neighbor take you photographs for free or at a steep discount.

But what you have to consider is do you want an amature taking pictures that will represent something as special as a wedding day. Wedding photographs are keepsakes as are baby pictures and family pictures and senior pictures and so forth.

When I had my family pictures taken by ColettesCreations AKA Colette I was asking why her prices were so reasonable. She said that it was worth it to her because she has had so many people come to her and ask her to retake family pictures or try and fix the pictures their well meaning amature friends or family took for them.

She figured if she charged reasonable prices she could make it easier on her and her customers to get a professional and only pay once for quality pictures. I specifically wanted to choose from Utah county photographers because for family pictures there are countless places in Utah county. We talked a bit to determine what areas would represents out families personality. We went to American Fork Canyon to some spots she knew about. It was perfect.

Not only did we love what she did, she went to extra mile and did some extra formatting so we could have some very large files to print making us some great wall hanging pictures of our family.
