Utah Photographer

Utah Photographer

Anyone with a good digital camera can be a Utah photographer but when it comes time to ask someone to take your family portrait or bridal photographs who are you going to ask, a neighbor down the road that has a nice camera or a professional Utah photographer?

That's a good question and to answer it let me pose another question...what's the cost of "free"? Does a good digital camera make one an experienced photographer? When ColettesCreations took our family picture I asked Colette a few questions and in the course of conversation something she said struck me as an interesting statement. She has been hired several times to clean up bridal pictures and hired for wedding photographs  because someone gave them a "free" wedding shoot package" to help them save money.

The engagement pictures were so bad they could only use a few pictures and by few it would have been any where to two to ten engagement photographs. When she fixes the pictures she does it by a new photo shoot because even with Photoshop you can fix garbage. it's like the old saying "garbage in, garbage out".

When your on a tight wedding schedule free messed up engagement photos cost you dearly. Time is more valuable than money when your getting married. So learn a lesson. Don't hire a professional Utah photographer unless you look at their portfolio and see how they pose, how they use light etc.

The friend down the street with a digital camera may know his camera but do they have experience? Professional Utah photographers must have more skills than know how to use a computer with a lenses.

As for me and my family, there is only one Utah County photographer for us for any occasion that is Colette from ColettesCreations.

Utah county photographers are a dime a dozen but with some due diligence and some word of mouth, mine, you can whittle down the Utah county photographers just by clicking on Utah county photographers.
