There are cross necklaces and subtle but substantial difference between a cross necklace and cross pendant necklaces. A cross necklace is any type of cross necklace made with a cross pendant or cross charm whereas a cross pendant necklace is only made with cross pendants.

The difference between the cross pendant and charm is that a pendant has a bail on it that allows it to only hang from a necklace chain. The bail is built into the charm and is either hide behind the pendant or at the top of a pendant built as part of the design.

A cross charm is used for either a cross necklace or a cross charm bracelet. It has a jump ring or split ring on it which is able to be hung from a chain or connected to a charm bracelet.
