While not all Celtic necklaces are Celtic knot necklaces, most are. There are other types of Celtic necklaces that display of symbol that doesn't fit into the Celtic knot necklace portion of Celtic necklaces.

For instance, the very popular Celtic cross necklace does not fall into the Celtic knot necklaces category. The Celtic cross necklace is actually in it's own special category.

The Celtic knot necklaces comprise the majority of the Celtic necklaces.  The Celtic knot necklaces consist of a wonderfully large and varied collection of artistic Celtic knot designs.

My personal favorite Celtic knot necklace is the Trinity knot. The trinity Celtic knot necklace is a three sided, three cornered knot that in Christian circles is iconic for the Holy Trinity.
