The focus of this type of Celtic Religious Jewelry is on the Celtic Trinity Knot. The Celtic Trinity knot was originally not design with the Holy Trinity in mind. It was a pagan Celtic design. The Celtic meanings for most of the Celtic symbols are only qualified guesses. As far as the modern meaning of the Trinity knot it represents the Christian Holy Trinity of Godhead.

The Trinity knot is so-called because it is a Celtic knot design with three distinctive points in a triangular shape. Is is a Celtic symbol for "three". The Celtic style definitions were always in three like the Holy Trinity or Godhead.

Some of the more traditional Celtic meanings for the symbol originally call Triquetra is: Mother, Daughter and Grandmother and  Past, Present and Future. In rare Germanic and ancient texts that use Celtic art it is assumed the way the Triquettra is used it could have just be a ornated space filler but in semi modern definitions it has come to represent Celtic symbols that come in three's.

A very common representation of the Triquetra symbol is with a circle centered on the Trinity symbol going through the three interconnected loops of the Triquetra. The circle is supposed to unify the whole combination of the three triangular elements of the knot.

You could read a Trinity knot with a circle as the interconnectedness of the past, the present and the future. A very nice meaning.
