How are Celtic Jewelry, Christian Jewelry, Religious Jewelry and Cross Necklaces related? Because they are all jewelry. That is to obvious and not the answer we're looking for. True enough they are all jewelry but they each represent an aspect of a culture. Not just any culture but a religious type of culture.
Celtic jewelry is hugely popular and is symbolic. The Celts were a pagan people yet oddly enough several of there designs are used in Christian Jewelry. Christian jewelry is obvious. Jewelry representing about one quarter of the earths population who belong to some Christian faith.
Religious jewelry is a type of a bowl which you can put alot of different things in. In this case we could be talking about Hindu jewelry, Buddhist jewelry, Jewish Jewelry and so forth. In a way you could even say Celtic jewelry fits into Religious jewelry because pagan are a religious people just not in a Christian way. The Cross Necklace really just fits into Christian jewelry. The reason to bring it up as a seperate entity is because the vast collection of types and designs of crosses reflect culture all over the world and all throughout Christianities 2000 year history.
Symbolism reflects designs the reflect various beliefs, events and aspects of our lives. Jewelry is made up of symbols and in a way jewelry are artifacts that reflect our lives.
It's an interesting concept that the jewelry says so much about you and the culture you live in. But what does that matter as long as it looks good on you and you like it.
